Welcome to

Homeplace Psychology

Inspired by bell hooks’ concept of Homeplace, we believe healing happens through community, connection, safety, and resistance.

Our therapy creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where people can resist oppressive systems, reclaim strength, and build collective power.

We look beyond ‘symptoms’ to the systemic roots of distress, centring empowerment, liberation, and collective healing.

We stand with equity, anti-racism, queer and trans liberation, decolonisation, and disability rights.

At Homeplace Psychology, everyone is welcome.

Two young adults outdoors hugging each other, the taller one laughing with their mouth open, the other facing away, wearing a black shirt with messages supporting equality and love.
Two hands touching with colorful rainbow light reflections on their skin.
A person with long brown hair wearing black sunglasses and a black leather jacket standing in front of a graffiti-covered wall, with leafless trees in the background.
A person lying on a sofa with a big smile, talking to a person sitting nearby while holding a pen.
A group of six diverse young adults in colorful, vibrant, and glittery outfits posing together outdoors on a sunny day, with some wearing bold makeup and accessories, in a park setting.

“We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected in the deep.”

― William James
